  • Implemented PWM motor drivers for BLDC thrusters and developed kinematic thrust-allocation algorithms for an eight-motor underwater drone, enabling precise propulsion control.
  • Evaluated multiple state-estimation approaches by fusing IMU, magnetometer, water pressure, and GPS data; implemented a Mahony filter optimized for inference on a Raspberry Pi.

  • Co-authored publication at IEEE International Conference on Web Intelligence and Intelligent Agent Technology.
  • Designed a hyper-efficient latent diffusion architecture to generate instrumental accompaniments from vocal melodies, achieving 220 times parameter reduction and 52 times faster inference.
  • Collected, preprocessed, and encoded 431 hours popular music audios clips via web-scrapping and a pre-trained music encoder using Google Colab.
  • Reviewed literature on diffusion generation and attention mechanisms with applications to creative processes.

  Burnaby Youth Chinese Orchestra

  • Founded and led a 15-member youth orchestra, organizing weekly rehearsals and coordinating public performances across Greater Vancouver.
  • Expanded outreach by organizing performances and workshops at unconventional venues, including District Jazz Night and Harumatsuri Anime Convention.
  • Secured and managed approximately $2000 in performance honorariums through community and cultural partnerships.
